If you're going to throw a big hissy fit about Starbucks...
...use Panera Bread, if there's one convenient to you. I do.

Their coffee's better than Starbucks, but not quite as good as Seattle's Best.

Additionally, they provide free wireless internet connections, and they donate bread unused at the end of the day to food banks and homeless shelters.

5. Caribou Coffee too. From their website:
Caribou Coffee supports the ongoing and sustainable production of coffee. For every pound of coffee we buy, we allocate funds to support socially responsible initiatives in coffee-producing communities.
With our help, our communities are able to:
Build clinics
Finance schools
Invest in reforestation efforts
Support water-cleaning programs
Caribou Coffee has helped sponsor the construction of a medical clinic in the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. We chose this project as part of our commitment to the farmers in this region and the excellent coffees they produce.
In El Paraíso, a village in the municipality of La Libertad, villagers have struggled unsuccessfully in garnering support for the construction of a local medical facility since the 1970s. Together with a Guatemalan coffee exporter, Caribou Coffee funded the construction of a clinic for El Paraíso. Up to this point, the nearest medical facility for people living in El Paraíso was a half-day's walk away. We're proud to have played a part in this important, life-changing project.
