How many DUers use MySpace? I thought it was for kids, but... |
|
...In hours I have found friends I haven't heard from in 20 years.
It really is an amazing tool, and at 51, I'm absolutely amazed...
Is there a DU group?
Sorry to interrupt the GD-P assault, but I thought a change of subject might be refreshing...
Peace...

4. I have followed links to people's sites |

repeating backgrounds, music blaring (which I should expect, but never remember to do). Sensory overload in too many cases.
I must be getting old at the ripe old age of 40 or something. LOL!

8. If You Use MySpace, Then You Support Rupert Murdoch |
|
Sorry. No excuses.
MySpace.com is one of the only profitable media ventures of Rupert Murdoch. FOX News, the NY Post and his other media outlets LOSE money (so much for the idea that Murdoch is a non-ideologue). Rupert Murdoch is a FAR-RIGHT activist, and if you use MySpace, you are putting money and power into Rupert's pocket.

9. It's the way I keep up with my large family |

I've got nine siblings and about a dozen nieces and nephews. We use myspace to keep up with what everyone is doing. Not all of my siblings have accounts but enough of them do that it keeps me busy and informed.

We were very hesitant to allow her for a while. My husband and I aren't fans because we didn't think they did enough to protect minors. They're much better now than they were in the beginning. Fortunately, our teenager is smart about it and it's worked out okay.

or weirdos.
I've had a page for a couple of years now. It's pretty neat, and I've made some connections with past friends, classmates, too. I'm 42. Easy to add favorite bands and authors too, and keep up with when they are performing or reading close by.

and looks better aesthetically.
If you do, PM me and I will send you my real name so you can send an invite to be your friend.

several DUers as friends. A call went out in the lounge a while back. It's a really great way to keep in touch with people. I am not a big telephone user. In fact, my husband and I share a cell phone.
