Thomas Jefferson speaks!
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson

Jefferson (and Adams) called this a long time ago -- that our enemies would eventually destroy us through our banking system.

10. Thomas Jefferson has been defeated. Benjamin Franklin had a word on the issue as well.
I guess the bankers got the last laugh in the end. We now operate on fractional reserve banking as opposed to Colonial Scrip.
