CNN has finally bottomed out... |
|
I used to think that things couldn't get worse, but they have...
Betty and T.J. (who is way ahead in the "Dumbest Man on TV" ratings) were doing a 'report' on some of the things sent to a gentleman who is 8'5" including a car, exercise chair, bicycle, etc. Fair enough - typical info/slop journalism - nothing new there.
But the comments after were just not to be believed.
T.J.: when is he going to pick up a basketball?
Betty: what are the odds of him finding a woman near his size to date?
You actually had to watch it to hear the abject obscenity of their moronicism.

1. I gave up on CNN long ago |
|
and MSNBC is not far behind. It is no wonder that no one can find Iraq on a damn map or tell the difference between Shite and Sunni

4. I know what you mean; we have a war raging, a primary boiling, and |
|
they're dumbing down the populace. Same as it ever was. This is Sunday a.m. fluff.

5. I have a topper to this one. The day of the reported 4000 death in Iraq, a newsmodel on MSNBC |
|
reported that the FBI had found and identified 2 bodies in Iraq that were of missing contractors. She said, well at least we have some good news on this sad day.

7. If they had paid attention, they'd have realized that he needn't restrict himself to dating tall. |
|
The second-tallest man in the world, who is Chinese and 7-foot-9, married a 5-foot-6 woman last year.
Even more remarkable is the age differential: he was 56, she was 28.
Don't think he's feeling the need to play basketball either.
Really, the banter between news 'bots as they transition stories is pretty inane.

8. I'm only 6' 11". But I don't find the remarks offensive. |
|
There is no escaping your size. I wasn't a basketball player or pro wrestler. I was an Executive Bodyguard. Yes, my size worked very well for me in that job. As for the dating. Some people believe that functions on magnetism where opposites attract. Others believe it functions on chemistry where likes attract. When it comes to sex. Size doesn't matter. You just have to be able to match up your middle parts.
