It should be obvious that Al Sadr is the real reason behind the surge's "success"

I'm sure we'll hear a lot of gloating from McCain, LIEberman, and the other warmongers about how great our military is doing in Iraq. The fact of the matter is that local leaders like Al Sadr are the ones who are primarily responsible for reducing violence in Iraq, not our presence.

When will these idiots realize that it's our presence there that is fueling much of this hatred and insurrection? The sooner we leave and let Iraqis take care of themselves, the better off both of our countries will be.

Sadr hasn't been seen in almost a year. Just edicts coming from his office. I think he has a bag on his head somewhere. The different Iraqi militias appear to be uniting by the reports I have been reading and the people our media calls Sadr's people are just one part of it.
