http://www.liberaloasis.com/2008/03/mccain_backs_social_security_p.php

This B*sh turd, privatizing Social Security, had been dropped off and left by the side of the road until... John McCain picked it up, polished it, and is putting it on his agenda (presumably)! This is campaign gold!!!! No sane Republican has tried to revive this one; all a well-packaged Dem campaign commercial needs to do is posit:

voice: "John McCain wants to gamble with your Social Security"

(show animated line graph of Bear Stearns stock; rishing, rising, rising, CRASH!)

voice: "Can you trust John McCain with YOUR Social Security?"

(run John McCain clip where he says he doesn't know much about the economy)

voice: "Can you trust John McCain with OUR economy? Fooled you once, shame on the Republicans. Fooled you twice... don't get fooled again. Vote Democrat".

(end with image of B*sh kissing John McCain on the forehead... fade out)

Personally, I think Dems need to start running these kinds of ads NOW

5. Ummm.. many democrats say they want to fix SS...
McCain was very sneaky by saying overtime... which means he isnt going to deal with it... he just said it was a good idea.

6. "fix" does not mean "privatize"
as in ply the stock market with our retirement income, then... whoops! Oh well, the CEO of that company that ate your retirement money will only get to buy 1 Rolls Royce instead of 2 for Christmas.
