I have portraits still to do of the wheat farmers. I worked a bit with a publisher, thats hard work. They are pretty demanding. I would say, hopefully after this years harvest it will be completed.

I remember watching a show on Ansel Adams once. When he shot that moon rise over the cemetery photo he only had time to expose one frame. It was gone that quick, he didn't even have time to use a light meter.

They have a depth and quality to them that I have seldom seen in photography. With most photos, I look, and think, nice or pretty, or what a great shot, but with yours I find myself really getting into your subject. Your photographs draw me in and captivate my imagination and my senses. It is an emotional experience.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must ponder on the clouds for a while in that third one.

Lovely photos! Will you let us know when your book is published so we can buy a copy? If you ever need photos from the plains or from the famous Flint Hills in Kansas I would be happy to escort you. Those are just lovely photos. The first one just blew my mind. That is my life in a far more beautiful way that I usually see it!

I just can't do it anymore. DU is filling up with the most hateful people. There is no debate, just attacks, hate, and judgment. In the thread that was my last straw you could see it all, from attacking whatever faith I have to my penis, they left no stone unturned. This was the first time my penis was attacked, if I had known it was a "women's only" thread I would have stayed away. Maybe we need signs like those in the 30's over water fountains.

Those people who attacked my having a penis and insinuating a man has no voice in some issues really need to re-examine just how "progressive" they really are. I truly appreciate your love and concern but DU is not a place for me anymore, my life really does prosper without the hate and judgment. I'm seeing less and less difference from the hate-filled conservative sites at DU. That really is a shame, that's not what we stand for.
