Here Comes An "I Told You So." DOJ Kept Lawsuit Re EVote Fraud Squashed for 2 Years
The Bush administration kept an important voter's rights lawsuit from becoming public knowledge before the 2006 election by claiming that they might want to join in on the case. I posted a thread here in which I said that this was a bunch of hooey. People here at DU told me I was paranoid and that the folks at Alberto Gonzales's (In) Justice Department were just doing their jobs. This after I had already written about their political shenanigans in other threads.

Well, it took the Rove/Gonzales/Mukasey two whole fucking years to decide that they never had any intention of prosecuting Hart Intercivic for stealing our vote.

I knew that the day would come when I would post this "I told you so."

To all the people told me "hush".

I told you so.

Additional claims by Lichtenheld, as reported by Kim Zetter at Wired's Threat Level blog on Thursday, are also dispelled by a document from the U.S. Dept. of Justice, obtained by The BRAD BLOG. The DoJ, after requesting and receiving extensions for two years, has finally decided against joining the federal qui tam suit, for the time being, allowing it to become unsealed last week, so that it may now move forward in federal district court.
