Deal 'close' for Mugabe to leave
The outline of a deal has almost been reached for Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe to step down, opposition sources have told the BBC.

They say representatives of Mr Mugabe, military chiefs and the opposition have held meetings chaired by South Africa since Saturday's elections.

The sources say Mr Mugabe is to give an address to the nation but urge caution until the announcement has been made.

Zimbabwe and South Africa's governments denied any negotiations or a deal.

1. Mugabe needs to go. He has done enough damage.
Zimbabwe used to be a net exporter of food and other products. Now they have 100,000% inflation and 80% unemployment.

Mugabe decided that he would take the farms of the rich and give them to the poor. Within 2 years the farms were destroyed and production was almost non existent. The poor had no idea how to run a farm which is very complex. I grew up on a farm and know first hand it is very hard work and takes special people to make it successful.

Then inflation took over so he decided to institute price controls and stop street corner vendors. This stopped businesses from buying products because they couldn't buy the product below the set price by Mugabe. Soon the store shelves were empty and now there is an economy that is trashed in a few short years that will take decades to rebuild.

Building a strong economy takes a long time but can he ruined in a short time by meddling government that thinks they know how to run and economy.

This was so predictable.
