Man Arrested After Firing Gun To Honor Dead Friend

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A Sacramento man who wanted to honor a friend who had died wound up prompting a short police stand-off this morning, according to officers.

Cops got a call around 10:30am that shots were fired at a mobile home park on Auburn Boulevard.

With guns drawn, officers called for the couple inside to come out.

A man and woman eventually surfaced and police took the man into custody.

They say he fired his weapon as a memorial to a friend who just died.
