May I ask a question about the Jena 6? |
|
I was wading through the cesspit of filth that is the Daily Illini comments threads, and I kept coming across references to "the Jena 6 hoax." Now, since it was coming from someone who's been harrying the DI's only black columnist, and another poster who was complaining about the existence of affirmative action, I'm not terribly inclined to believe it, but I was wondering if anyone knew how it got started.
Thanks.

...I got a link here to a satirical site, but it does have some background. Maybe a better link: Black Commentator

3. You're welcome. As far as the "hoax" goes... |

...that may go along with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear%2C_uncertainty_and_doubt">FUD, which is sort of what inspires Holocaust Deniers. If people can get everyone to doubt that something racist happened in Jena, Louisiana, why then racism is over, thankyouverymuch.
