All Democrats should be shouting this to the rooftops, just like
Elizabeth Edwards. And whoever is the nominee should be relentless in exposing the fatal flaw in McCain’s health care plan.

Insurance companies are in the business to make money – as much money as possible. The fewer claims they pay out, the more money they’ll keep. So unless they are REQUIRED to include people with expensive pre-existing conditions – just like everyone else – then they will exclude them.

This isn’t rocket science. It’s simple economics. Econ 101.

The subject John McCain has already admitted he doesn’t know much about.

1. Absolutely, we need health care that is a community service not
a profit making business. Having said that I do not expect doctors and health care professionals to become government workers - it is the health coverage business that has to be nationalized with contracts with the professionals.

2. I hate to draw attention to our own flawed proposal.
The fact that we use insurance companies in our own plan wants me to call out Obama and Hill. Really, if Kucinich has one idea that will help the American people it is single payer health insurance. My hope is that when Obama gets in office he will investigate all forms of health insurance and get off of this idea that the government should partner with the very companies that run this country to the ground. Just sayin'. Peace, kim

4. Either of the Democratic plans is far superior to McCain's.
If the insurance companies don't think they can make enough money by including ALL Americans, then they can get out of the business.

3. Isn't it about time they did something for the American people?
We have fought and died and sacrificed everything to keep this country free and we aren't able to go to a doctor when we get sick? Fuck them!!!!

5. The sole purpose of Government is to "Maintain the Health and Welfare of the Nation"
We must demand it live up to it's purpose..Our National Health is more than just Health Care, though that is vital, it is sewer systems, dams, public water sources, highways, ports, and airports, alternative energy sources, education,..... the list is quite long and has been largely ignored for the last decade since Republicans got Majority Control..

6. Of course this is true.
This is why no other country in the industrialized world wants to copy our so-called "system." It should be obvious to anyone -- so why isn't it?? :banghead:
