Who has the worst reputation, "renters" or "landlords"?

3. It depends on who you ask

Landlords will always tell you horror stories about bad tenants. Tenants will tell you horror stories about flint-hearted landlords.

Lousy excuses for human beings exist in both groups.

6. I've had both

In my life I've had horrific landlords and wonderful landlords, as well as horrific tenants and wonderful tenants. As far as what percentage of each group would be horrific or wonderful, I don't know. Most of my experiences with both groups though have tended to the mundane, as I think most people just want to 'pay the rent' or 'collect the rent' with the fewest interventions as possible on both sides.

Some people in general though can just be assholes no matter their financial situation.

I've seen both "tenant from hell" and "landlord from hell" type websites.

Some of the stories (and pictures), from both sides are mind boggling.
