Will Wing-Nuts target "Pure Love Studies" Major?

Because colleges and universities tend to value empirical analysis and scholarship and devalue dogma and , they have been the target of the hard right. Groups like Accuracy in Academia and campaigns by ideologues like David Horowitz have attempted to discedit all of academia by focusing on a few undistinguished tenured kooks (such as Ward Churchill). In addition, critics on the right such as Charles Sykes have targeted supposedly "politically correct" academic programs. When I was doing research for my blog on Sun Myung Moon, I discovered that Moon's Sun Moon University in Korea has a "Pure Love Studies" major. I have written about it on the blog.

1. There's that will to power at work.

The problem with conservatives is that they are Chaos Magicians, believing nothing is true and everything is permitted, but they don't know it.

All teaching shapes the student. They know this, and they want to control what that shape is. But after some point all empirical analysis is lost, and the created reality, the propaganda reality, becomes the means, method and end. This is why you see much more empirical things being thrown out while things like "pure love studies" are accepted, because all touch with empirical reality has been lost, and the cause has become more important than the reality in which it exists.

2. It looks like all the sex phobic stuff old farts are always

trying to push off onto idealistic young people. The giveaway, "Sometimes it's hard because not everyone agrees with our thought. Of course there are those that oppose us like lesbians and extreme feminists."

The idea that a non sexual love is always purer than a sexual one is pure bunk and one of the most destructive things the old try to do to the young.

Fortunately for the human race, most of the young eventually realize this.
