I am still really confused on this whole war thing

The President keeps talking about the War and I still dont know what war he is talking about.

Congress has not declared war so is this like the other fake wars of the 20th century like the war on poverty or the war on drugs.

I always refer to it that way. An invasion, then an occupation.
