Feith: Only "Assholes" Fret about Torture

It won't surprise anyone that the least sympathetic portrayal in Phillipe Sands' Vanity Fair piece is of former Undersecretary of Defense Doug Feith.

Not only did Feith play a major hand in promoting the myth of Iraq's ties to Al Qaeda before the invasion of Iraq, but he also played a major role in developing the interrogation policy for Guantanamo Bay.

Feith boasted to Sands that back in 2002, he "was really a player" in ensuring that Gitmo detainees would not receive Geneva protections. But when Sands asked him "whether, in the end, he was at all concerned that the Geneva decision might have diminished America’s moral authority," Feith got nasty:

He was not. “The problem with moral authority,” he said, was “people who should know better, like yourself, siding with the assholes, to put it crudely.”

If there's one thing I want to see before my days on this orb are done, is to see Feith and the rest of this regime's war profiteer and enablers put on trial for their war crimes. It wouldn't just be a national disgrace by an international outrage if these goons are held accountable for all the death and destruction they've cause...and how unrepentant they are.

Hopefully the concept of "moral authority" and anything repugnican are not considered valid for years, if not decades to come.

so broken down and psychologically stunted--that they fail to understand just how
pathetic, cowardly, and revolting they are.

We must eradicate this vermin from our government. How in the world these pieces
of inhumane debris rose to power is just---so disgusting. Their behavior and their
pathology is only prevalent in another subset of society--and that's in America's
prisons.

These classless thugs have money and come from prominent and connected families.
Instead of committing crimes on the streets, they commit them from corner offices
and board rooms.

Make no mistake, their behavior is similar to the behavior of serial killers and pedophiles.
It's about power and control. They get off on inflicting pain, and they relish their
roles as inflictors. That's what it's all about. They enjoy the lies, the manipulations
and their little subversive society that they like to believe they're running underground.
What a high for them--to feel that they control everything and get away with their lies
and their inhumane, warmongering policies. This is a game to them.

These people are sick animals. So sick.

The November election can't come soon enough.

11. Without Impeachment, Feith Is Correct

The war criminals win. Our side is the impotent losers ("assholes" if you will).

It doesn't really matter who's in the White House next year because, left unimpeached, bushcheney can continue to control the levers of power through willing underlings and less-than-willing puppets. The Euphemedia will never stop abetting them without the "fall from grace" only impeachment can provide.

Holding out or promising hope for anything better is really just a cruel hoax.

Impeachment is our ONLY moral, patriotic option.
