F.U.D. McCain!
For those who don't know, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear%2C_uncertainty_and_doubt">FUD (or "fear, uncertainty and doubt") is the technical term for "campaigning while republican".

I bring this up (again) because, the Democratic convention is August 25-28, 2008, and the GOP coronation is Sept 1-4, 2008.

We can either figure out how best to defeat these lying, fear-mongering war-whores now, or wait another five months-ish to start strategizing.

We know what they will do: they apply fear, uncertainty and doubt directly to the forehead of every American. You already know what they've been doing to our candidates.

But, you also know that McCain's image remains pure as the driven snow.

So, can we come up with some legitimate instances of what people can fear about McCain? Or what uncertaities remain about him or his policies? Or how much of his carefully crafted image can be doubted?

You can post a characteristic based on one aspect of FUD, or do all three, just remember, there is only rule:

it's gotta be something that will honestly frighten dittoheads

or

genuinely mobilze independents to reject him.

-----------------------------------
I'll start:

McCain's ambition to be president is a way to redeem for his humiliating loss in 2000. He knows he really isn't qualified, but he can't stand losing and it's been eating at him ever since.

Uncertainty: now that he is the presumptive nominee, no one knows how much McCain owes the current republican party bosses for his ascendency, and how much he will have to repay them for it.
Fear: this will mean he will have to continue all current policies including going to war with Iran, further erosion of civil liberties and unstable economy (including a falling dollar)
Doubt: McCain might not be as big a maverick (or as good a friend) as he claims to be. In fact, his whole persona (including his patriotic speeches) might all be fake so no one will know what he has been trying to hide since 2000: how weak a leader he really is.
