Another effect of the Rove DOJ strategy---now when we prosecute, they'll accuse us of tit for tat |
|
It's the same as impeachment. They got us to take impeachment off the table because they did it first, and made it look like if we impeached, it was for petty revenge.
So how is it going to look the first time we try to bring all these repukes to justice anytime near an election? They're going to say we're just doing it to get even with them. Political circus.
I'm not saying this will work on their parts, but it will be more effective if we don't stay on top of it. This is one of the benefits to always being on the offensive--I'm not saying we should sink down to their level, but there's a lesson in here somewhere.

1. Good. Let'em. Their argument is fallacious and irrelevent. |

If the facts and the law are against them, they lose.

7. Well, that's the underlying disease. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to change. |
|
I just see the same thing happening with prosecution during an election year, that I see with impeachment.
If Repubs hadn't impeached in '98, there's no way we would've taken it off the table. Tit for tat was the issue. We need to be vigilant so that doesn't become a pattern.

So freakin' what?
The law is the law. You can't let someone off the hook if he/she breaks a law.

5. If Dems gain control in November ... |
|
the media will be so catching up on their "investigating" of what's happening in Washington, it will be hard to hear anything of the good that comes to the people ...

9. They can go on ahead.... |

the bullying, cowardly shills. They can whine all they want and they will still be in the wrong. They need to be put on trial for treason and subversion of justice. If the Dems now in Congress won't do it, we should elect those who will.
