Similar to what is happening today (ironically it seems the U.S. is TRYING to model themselves after war criminal regimes).

I vaguely remember the Japanese using a tactic of not classifying American troops as POWs as a way of circumventing the Geneva Conventions. I was hoping someone had a source, be it online or in print, that I could verify this with.

I'm trying to make a solid argument, give them a real shut-them-up-and-make-them-think moment.

If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it.
