3. She named CACI as a bad actor YEARS ago. |

5. She's been talking about the CACI suit on the air |
|
for at least a year, maybe a year-and-a-half now. Other regular listeners should be able to confirm this as well. I seriously doubt this had anything to do with the suspension.

a couple of years ago. She was in the right and Caci tried to intimidate her. This was when she was worth listening to.

9. No worries, proud2Blib. There is so much information on the infernal Internet |
|
that you can drag up material from years ago and think it was written yesterday.
I've done the same thing -- quoted something from 2002 or 2006 that is already a settled matter. Best thing to do is to check for post dates (sometimes you can't find them or they are NOT included). This is really a problem in medical forums where they keep information for YEARS that may not be germaine any more because of new studies.
My biggest complaint with the Internet is bloggers who abandon their blogs. That goes for this site, too. I had a whole list of people who were doing journals on the DU. Many of them have the top post as ancient history -- some have a journal, but there's nothing in it.
End of rant. I turned my journal OFF and my husband did the same; we just don't have time to post here due to other commitments.
Have a great day!
Cordially,

10. They're gunning for her, because she didn't dodge the military. |
|
She also didn't join and then go AWOL. How can she talk about the military and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan when she's a real live veteran? No, she's too knowledgable. Must go.
I'm sure AAR will give her time slot to Rush soon. Maybe even Tucker. Feels like AAR is heading that way anyway.
I still miss Marc Maron.

Political comedians on the radio have a very hard row to hoe. Especially when the public likes to "guess" (and it's only a guess, folks) which side the moderator or host is on.
At first, these hosts are entertaining, but the line between real "news" commentary and comedic "infotainment" news is very hard to navigate.
Marc Maron came on so early on the West Coast -- was it 3 AM to 6 AM? I didn't hear much of what he did.
In my opinion, even Keith Olbermann is getting kind of stale -- and I'm REALLY sick and tired of his nipping at Bill O'Reilly virtually every day.
We watch Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, and once in a while, the PBS Newshour (Snooze...), but mostly we get our information from news sites on our computer.
We never watch the network news anymore. I haven't seen Brian Williams, Katie Couric, or -- I'm drawing a blank on the ABC male news anchor -- in ages.
Peace,

almost eight years. For about four of those years, I listened to kudos and complaints about that show while answering calls for Audience Services. One of the best things is no commercials.
My 84-year-old aunt loves NewsHour and I watch it with her every chance I get. It just seems slow as molasses. Frankly, I miss the McNeill-Lehrer Report when they both were younger, and I was too. Robin retired years ago but still reports on some interesting stuff. I hope I've spelled his last name correctly, but if not, please forgive.
Thanks for your comments.

work for my tv/radio PBS affiliate, too, but it was a long time ago. I miss Robin also, and Charlene Hunter Gault. I think she's been on tv a few times, but rarely lately.

The OP simply put up an old link. Why bludgeon another DUer for that?
Good night and good luck.

I am finding this site more and more unmanageable in my daily life.
It's starting to be like we need DU Anonymous. Look at the inflow of verbal abuse. It's almost impossible to have a cogent discussion with someone without starting a conflagration. That might be with some UNKNOWN BODY who is too chicken to give any details of who, what, where and when s/he is.
It's just intolerable these days. While we supposedly have more than 100,000 registered users, I wonder how many are gone because of the daily surge of the WORST kinds of communication.
Have a good weekend!
