Freeper's are so damn brave! |
|
Some Freeper's responses to the news that a Canadian soldier was killed in Afghanistan today.
82...in how many years? Anybody know off hand how many we lost on D-Day?
the media needs to stop whining about this. Yes we’re losing lives over there, yes it’s a tragedy, but better over there than over here. If it were over here the numbers would be MUCH higher. -AntiKev
Freeper fanfan posted a link that posted a spreadsheet that showed more U.S. soldiers were killed under Clinton's watch than W. Bush's watch and stated, "Nothing like being armed with the real facts, to ruin a liberals day." Another poster stated that Snopes (a website that uncovers fake emails/urban legends)said that wasn't true. Then yet another freeper in response said, "But the statistics have to come from SOMEwhere!" ....Brilliant logic, which I guess is false statistics have to come from somewhere so we can use them like they are factual...? (Snopes has the real #'s and, surprise, more deaths have occurred under Bush's watch than Clintons (more deaths also occurred under Bush 1 and Reagan when compared to Clinton's time in office).
The Freeper logic is since we've been in past conflicts which caused more deaths the media should just shut the hell up about those that are dying in todays conflicts. They are so brave sitting behind their computers, it's awe inspiring. /sarc

We all hate them. Even if hatred is generally a bad thing. It's the only way to cope, I think....

5. The cowardice of their positions is always stunning. |

They talk about how they 'love freedom', but give up their rights willingly to any daddy figure who promises to protect them. I would expect the "freedom isn't free" crowd to insist upon retaining their rights, danger be damned. They expect soldiers to 'die for freedom', after all.
The whole "better there than here" line is equally cowardly, as it basically amounts to, "shoot him! Not me- shoot him!". The fact that the argument itself is asinine doesn't help any either.

They can tell you whether or not people dying in a war is worth it. Yep. :sarcasm:

That's a point I was trying to make in this post I did, but it sunk like a rock: "I am tired of hearing some of my fellow Americans cheer for this war, ignorant of what the complexities and real horrors of war does to people and nations. Roughly 90% of these warhwaks have never worn the uniform of our military, much less seen combat up close and personal. These people don't know what it feels like having your city.. or your home.. bombed out and your friends, neighbors and loved ones killed by these bombs. But it's easy to say "let's bomb the shit out of them" when we're talking about somewhere half a continent away where we never see the carnage, death and destruction of these bombings. Maybe it's time some of you actually saw it. Does this mean I wish for an attack on American soil? Hell no, it doesn't! What it means is that many of my fellow Americans will learn what they are doing and condoning. They'll see, hear and feel the terrors of war firsthand. Sometimes hands on personal experience is the *only* teacher. This is one of those times." http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=3098082&mesg_id=3098082

11. Freeps aren't able to differentiate fact from fiction. It's quite evident they are impaired. |

I think there may be a gene yet to be discovered that shows they lack empathy. Somehow they got the "Me, me, me!!!" ONLY! gene and the inability for 'caring about others' (sociopaths?) gene seems to be dominant of their ilk. Dead at birth.

Are the dead soldiers any less dead over there? It is such a callous and cowardly comment.
