Honest question. When was the LAST time Congress did ANYTHING
that solely benefited "the people"...without the corporations being involved in some form or fashion?

1. Corporate personhood aside,
corporations also effectively control our lives. Their involvement is inevitable.

2. A government...
of the corporation, by the corporations, and for the corporations.

No more corporate money in politics. If you cant vote, you cant contribute.

3. It was the last time Reid did something without first checking with the GOP
So that means never.

Reid is the best Leader of the Senate that the GOP has ever had.

12. They need to be replaced
How about this?
H.R. 5168:
to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 19101 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville, Florida, as the "Cody Grater Post Office Building"

and these are just...hilariously ironic...
H. Res. 945:
raising awareness and promoting education on the criminal justice system by establishing March 2008 as "National Criminal Justice Month"

H. Res. 1005:
supporting the goals and ideals of Borderline Personality Awareness Month

H. Res. 185:
expressing the sense of the House of Representatives regarding the creation of refugee populations in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf region as a result of human rights violations

Bush is not our only problem.

We need to work for peace candidates in every district, that will vote no on any more funding to Iraq and vote yes to HR676 Single payer health care.

13. They passed a budget that gave at least some AIDS relief to Africa
And yes, I know this is the one and only thing that Bush has to his credit, but still, it is something and it could not have been done without action in the Congress.

I am not saying that what we have done is adequate, I am not saying that this was at the initiative of the Congress, I'm just saying it is an accomplishment that they were a big part of.
