John "Botox" McCain - Does Anyone Have Any Before and After Photos?
I just saw his speech on CNN, and there is no way in the world he is not getting injections up the ying-yang.

Look at Botox McCain try - and fail - to smile:

1. Just trying to hide his lumps. Lumpy isn't very good at smiling.

4. Well, those teeth are not real. They all were knocked out of his head by the North Vietnamese.
Going after a candidate's appearance, particularly when said appearance is, to a large extent, the result of torture, is not very classy, IMO.

Go after his stances on the issues, not his looks. It's safer ground.

5. Botox is one of those things I completely fail to understand
"I'm going to take the most toxic substance on the planet and inject it into my face. That should be interesting!"

I mean, really!

12. Botox has legitimate medical uses, actually.
For example, to make certain muscles stop spasming.

13. No, the difference is that the photo in the opening
post has him smiling. Makes a world of difference, a smile, pulls the skin tight.

8. Looks isn't really a cool critique, imo. I remember when Kerry was smeared with botox lies and
Leno used pics circulated by Drudge.

The problem is that pics of Kerry before were while he was in treatment for cancer and the after was shortly after he finished treatment and finally rested after the primaries.

The asshats who jumped on the smear and spread it didn't even connect the fact that they were actually mocking a cancer patient who was fortunate enough to recover.

It's not about aesthetics. It's about a living lie. It's about pretending to be something one is not - in his case, that would be age 56. Geez, look at his neck, about 1-2 inches below the jawline, for the change in elasticity.

But if you prefer, I can just go back to GD: P and shoot darts at Obama.

22. I know, I know....but looks stuff does bother me.
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 09:32 PM by blm
Listen - I know I'm good looking - it's just the way it is - but it offends me if someone makes it a point for why I should be placed ahead of someone else. You'd have to be truly insensitive or self-absorbed to not notice when it happens, and it happens too often. Some people might get a kick out of it. I always cringed.

I WANT to tear McCain up and down the East and West Coast, but I just find no joy in using attacks on his looks. Cancer was hard on his face and if he needs to tweak himself up some way, then who really wants to begrudge him the tweak?

9. Air-brushed photo?
These are the only ones I've saved that (a) show his true complexion & haven't been touched up or (b) are before the botox:

11. My Friends...
My dear Friends, I like to refer to mcain as the white rat.
He is pink like a white rat.

Also take a piece of paper to the first picture above. Hold it over his left side of his face and see the side he shows the world... (right side) It looks all nice and perky. Now hold the piece of paper covering his right side down the middle of the nose. It shows his left side and note how old, old old and nutso he looks.

I lke to do this to pol faces, with cheney being one who is very revealed right and left side.

21. More like an airbrushed Senator!
The hot new thing in pro cosmetics is Airbrush Makeup, which is reall beautiful stuff.

Most people's work can be done with one of these...

McCain needs one of these...

15. I thought we decided in the 2004 election that we didn't care about Botox.
Shouldn't we be consistent? Or do we practice the same institutional hypocrisy as our opponenents?

19. You were one of the ones riding John Kerry for his Botox treatments?
Why would you care about something so trivial?

20. Honestly, I Don't Remember
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 09:06 PM by Crisco
It's not trivial. There's nothing trivial about the beauty and youth industry and the amounts of money it makes off of peoples' insecurities of their physical attractiveness, and the way it trains the masses to feed those insecurities.

We are in an age where people consciously choose to alter their physical attributes to be more competitive in the job arena. Just like "Maverick" McCain.
