sorry I don't have the link, but this was a review of "the bible" back in the 50's.


I was never a fan of heston's, and certainly, when I realized what his politics were, couldn't stand him. I saw him in one of the worst movies ever made (and which doesn't show up on his cv) a black-and-white version of "peer gynt". I also saw him reading slightly risque limericks on the johnny carson show-- and that was hysterical. he was standing behind a podium, with a big, thick "book", from which he was ostensibly reading the limericks. the whole audience cracked up.
