I find it fascinating that on the weekend, when you might expect a little bit of in-depth analysis, the only thing that gets such treatment is the economy. And, a lot of that is just the kind of "bleeds/leeds" coverage of personal and institutional tragedy. No framing, just pathos.

The one story that needs to be shouted from the rooftops - that Petreus is going to blame the mess in Iraq on Iran certainly didn't make the Boston Globe.
