Back to the Moon!
I think that is COOL. I'm so glad that we're at it again before the Apollo guys pass away. Now let's make sure they don't try to do it on the cheap.. I want us to do it right.

13. Moon
Yeah, right. That'll happen. With a major recession coming (at least) a costly war with no end in sight, terminal debt levels. What are we going to do, put it on the national Visa card?

There are about ten billion things I'd rather see them spend money on; if we had any, which we don't. I remember in the sixties, all the great spin-off benefits that were supposed to justify the cost. All we got was a moon stripped of all mystery and romance, Teflon and Tang.

4. One of these days!
I wonder if terraforming has been considered... especially for Mars. With an atmosphere of CO2, a few trees and something to generate a little heat might do wonders. :D

9. Help turn the "red planet" green!
We'll contract with the government to install solar panels, or a solar bubble, all around Mars to make it habitable. We'll get rich! RICH I say.... RICH!

Or not...

11. Terraforming of Mars
is being considered. I saw something on THC, Discovery, or one of those channels a few years ago.

In the 1960s,US had money, and you have an adversary in the USSR about coming to the moon first. The cold war was also a case when US was education many bright scientist and you don't have this "science sucks" and ID rules in the lead everywhere.. Then US was a educated nation...

Today US have _no_ money, and _no_ USSR to compete with... If you don't recognizer that Europe/Russia and China are on the brink of something interesting...

Diclotican

Sorry
