2. I just got to say, what happened between then and now.

Did he catch Ronnie Raygun's disease (aka early onset Alzheimer's)?

I say so in all sincerity. Given what I knew about him later in his life I would of never of guessed he kept this company at all.

4. I prefer to think so.
To pose with James Baldwin, then, was the kiss-o-death from the right-wingers and J. Edgar Hoover (Hoover hated Baldwin). I have stood back today, in the wake of DU responses to Heston's death, to find a better time to mark my position. Now is that time.

I remember the old Heston .. the consummate social activist. That's the way I'll leave it. Heston's latter years were marked by an organic brain disease .. and who knows where that started.

RIP Mr. Heston, in the spirit of MLK.

BTW: It has just occurred to me that while Heston was a great actor, accustomed to giving great speeches from a script .. Martin Luther King was not an actor, but he gave great speeches from the heart. If MLK was right, they are yucking it up right now.

8. I'm glad you "marked your position", it's much appreciated.
I really get tired of all the hatefulness that gets indulged in around here.

Peace,
sw

7. You know, there's a plethora of hatin' on Heston threads around here.
Can't you be satisfied with those instead of pissing on a thread that's about remembering his better days?
