Well, the RW is weighing in on this group in Texas - an email I got (let's work up a reply)
I have a lot of relatives back east who send me email forwards, mostly they send something to my dad and if he likes it he sends it on to me. As I am working on starting my own managed services company I grabbed all the email addy's from the forwards and sent an email to them all - I am willing to help them with their problems free remotely if they are willing to pass along my info to their friends who may need help.

So tonight I got an email from someone on that list about the group in Texas. Here it is:

---Begin Quote---

Hey all, I was thinking tonight about all this hoopla involving this group in Texas that some are calling a cult, and others are calling child molesters. Based on what I have seen from liberals over the years I could not help but wonder about the following:

A. We tell kids nowadays in sex ed that it is their body and their choice, and we even pass out condoms in schools for 12 yr olds. Maybe we should crack down on schools promoting all this. How different are they than this 'cult' they are complaining about?

B. If kids can have sex and abortions without telling their parents, how we can complain about what is going on in Texas? And why are liberals all up in arms about this now? Is it because people are using faith as an argument? Those kids know best right?

C. We can't have Christmas in school or nativity scenes on public property because it may 'harm' people, but the liberals want us to be able to allow kids to have condoms early on because 'they will have sex anyway and we should just accept it' - so one the one hand we have symbols that have a deep connection to most Americans being kicked to the curb because they may influence people in a bad way, but then we want to promote things in school like abortions, fisting, and so on and think it has no influence at all.

D. The liberals promote sex and freedom over one's own body, but then they complain about it when young kids exercise that. Kids are OK to make choices, except when they are not - and they are only not able to make choices about sex when it involves religion. Abortions, sex, and everything is all ok to them, unless it involves people making choices they would not make themselves. In other words, you can make decisions about sex as long as you do it the way we tell you to.

I agree that what happened in Texas was wrong, at least to me personally. Liberals though I am afraid are on the side of the people who abused these kids.

Sex and control over your body to them is an inherent right, and parents and others should butt out of your choices.

Which is it? Kids control their bodies and you parents should butt out, or kids are just kids and need someone to butt in and be the adult?

Next time liberals want you parents to butt out, ask them about this.

3. Tell him that what happened in TX is exactly why liberals believe in separation of church and state
And ask him why he wants more efforts to mix church and state when it so often leads to things like that cult. Or the Taliban.

Church + State = Taliban

6. He is saying having sex with kids is ok as long as religion is involved.
That is one sick comparison.

11. From my take, he is saying liberals say sex is ok unless
its promoted by religion then liberals are against it. The good old liberals have the same agenda as we do but they won't admit it thinking. These same idiots also believe that liberals are trying to promote the atheist religion, whatever that is. The concept of letting others believe as the wish without trying to force others to believe as you believe is beyond their ability to comprehend, they can't realize that theirs is not the true religion. It's just the fucked up conservative mind set, their logic is the complete lack of logic. In the good old days before the written word, they would have been destroyed before manhood because of their inability to figure out complex thought or ideals, to put simply, they would have never figured out that rubbing two sticks would = fire.

16. The young girls have absolutely NO choice in whom they are married to or sleep with.
But of course the desperate asshats don't get that part at all since it doesn't fit their fantasy...

9. I feel sorry for conservatives on this Ruby Ridge/Waco Replay.
Yeah, most Americans agree with the actions of the police in going in and shutting this nonsense of marrying 15-year-old girls to 50-year-old pervs down.

It must be hard for conservatives to see another false "religion," like their own, being hit for immorality. This comes after a long line of Republicans and their preachers have been caught in sex scandals. After all, they did vote for bush partly because of Waco and here it is, another Waco. But, they should have known because Waco and Ruby Ridge were bush operations.

Worse these conservatives can't see that Iraq is nothing but a glorified Ruby Ridge. The immorality of the Republican party is deep. Yeah, blame liberals, but after 30 years of conservative BS, the whole world knows that conservatism and its false religions are evil.

12. So these dumbasses honestly believe that..
14 year olds willingly choose to have sex with 50 year old men?

I guess if you can believe George Bush is a great leader and that Iraq was behind 9/11, you can believe just about anything.
