On the front page of Huffington Post today there is a story about a new book that claims that (among other things) John McCain physically attacked a fellow congressman: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/08/new-book-mccain-once-phys_n_95595.html

I look forward to reading this book by Cliff Schecter (you may know him from his work with www.bravenewfilms.org and or from his weekly Republican Sexcapades segment with The Young Turks, aka TYT).

If he actually said that to his wife, he is an a-hole!! I am talking about this from the article you linked to-

On Monday, moreover, the website Raw Story obtained a separate anecdote from Schecter's book, in which McCain berated his wife in the full view of aides and reporters during a 1992 campaign stop.

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Bu$h punked him? Remember the 2000 debates, when McCain called out Bu$h about the dirty campaign tactics and Bu$h pointed his finger at McCain and said 'Don't you EVER accuse me of...whatever. McCain backed down!!!! That was the moment I knew everything I had to know about this guy.

Where was the violent temper? I guess it only comes out with his wife, female reporters, etc.
