Supreme Court Justice Hillary Clinton

PS: One possible consequence of an Obama presidency? Supreme Court Justice Hillary Clinton. Dang, that sounds good.

Now that could be very interesting...

1. Hillary Has Already Blown That Possibility Out of the Water
I wouldn't appoint her dog catcher, based on her campaign antics, and I doubt anyone else would, either.

2. Mr. Baldwin doesnt understand that making history is what drives Hillary
On the USSC she wouldnt be making history, she would just be another woman on the bench.

Im afraid at this point her two choices are down to first woman as Senate Majority Leader, or first woman as Governor of NY.

If she hadnt played her campaign in such a petty manner towards Obama she probably could have forced him to accept her as his VP, but thats history now (pun intended).

3. Give up any attempt for real power and be the token woman on the Court?
Give up and we'll toss you a bone that will limit your income for life?

Baldwin was a polite young man who left a good impression but WTF is he getting this snide, condescending pasture pastry which is being presented as pie ala mode? Doesn't he know it for the insult it is?

5. The predictable circular firing squad cohorts are flocking to comment here, but it's a fine idea
And she'd be well suited to it.

And "Cui Bono" is a great handle, btw...

8. I am going to say this again ...
It can't happen ...

What group has the most investment in the Supreme court ??? Who live and die for it ???

The religious right ...

And, to them, Hillary is, quite literally, the anti-christ ...

This is not hyperbole ... I am being serious, there would be some of the most radical anarchy this country has seen in a LONG time if a president was to put Hillary up for SC ... It would be a bloodbath in the senate, cause any R would be DEAD in his next election if he/she voted for her ...

Bottom line, no president could withstand the furor that would come with nominating her ... ALL the goodwill Obama, or any D president, would have to that point with the Rs would be burnt ...

9. The SC is not supposed to be a consolation prize!
And being a policy wonk is not the same as a constitutional wonk.

12. I don't think that someone with such a political background could be confirmed by the Senate

Whether it be a Democratic or Republican.
