Another “dogs with stars and elected ponies’ show” today, all with straight faces. Another bunch of multi-millionaires commenting on it, all with straight faces. What a joke. Knock, knock, who’s there? No one who’s brave enough to say no one’s home. We’ve turned off the pols, turned off the news, turned off the pundits. No one’s home but us and are we enough? We settle for reality shows over reality. We settle for the best looking instead of the one who is best. We settle for the calming words, the meds that calm, the faces familiar. We eat the foods the kill us and kill the planet that feeds us. We buy the stuff that makes us shine and shine the stuff that doesn’t care. WTF. We haven’t reached the bottom yet, but we’re close. Absolve, satiate, obfuscate, fornicate, defecate, annihilate. Who believes those who say they believe? Who says the truth without calculating the risk to their jobs, to their way of life?
