MM Sicko & My 4yo - a funny story. |
|
So my 4yo has a bit of an obsession with boxes & DVD covers. He's great with all his letters, so I've been teaching him how to sound out letters to words. All morning he's been carrying around MM's Sicko DVD case (after days of trying to get him to leave it alone - I gave up - yeah, I'm a bad parent). So he's sitting on the couch spelling - S-I-C-K... then stops before he gets to the "O" and says proudly... 'Cereal'
He's so cute.

If he's that attached to it I wonder if he just likes MM very jovial appearance and vibe.
Or maybe his future is in overhauling health care and insurance.
If so give him some rapid grow.
We need all the help we can get ASAP.

3. Given my son's health history, I'd hope the later. |
|
We lost track after $1.2M (he's was a micro-preemie). We've jumped through so many hoops, and hit so many walls along the way - it's hard to even explain to people. He's 4yo with undiagnosed Cerebral Palsy (mild low-tone spectrum), and finally - after waitlists, drs leaving, more waitlists, insurance changes, resulting in new waitlists - Our son is finally seeing his first neurologist since leaving the NICU nearly 4 years ago. This is of course the first step/consultation - more hoops to come I'm sure, as we try to get the MRI & CATs. He is truly remarkable though - given all he's been through in his short life :)

You must be a very strong woman to have gone through all of that and he must have an amazing spirit to have taken on such challenges.
Glad that he's prospering now and hope he continues to do so and thrive.
My son is nearly 17 and I thought I had a perfectly healthy child. His father has been in control of his health insurance. I had begged his father to switch Doctors because our son didn't like the Pediatrician he was going to because she always minimized his concerns and there were better practitioners who were closer in terms of proximity. His father wouldn't comply.
Last year he had a physical and was declared to be healthy though had developed semi chronic back discomfort.
I then took him to 4 Orthopedists and all of them said he had scoliosis and they couldn't believe it wasn't detected earlier.
I promptly morphed into a burbling mass of protoplasm.
Can't imagine what you've endured.
I hope you continue to maneuver through future hoops with grace.
Hug your little one for me.
Wishing your family blessings.
