I understand the outrage that is causing the Olympic protests...I just wish people |
|
were that outraged over our current state of afairs in this country that they would be passionate about it as well

3. I see them as one and the same. It's "The People" against |
|
Totalitarian/Fascist Oppressors.
I wish local outrage was more visible and impassioned as well.

When's the last time they discussed war protests?
In fact, there's one coming up April 15th. Do you think the MSM will pay attention?

Good for them lashing out against corporate endorsement of an oppressive regime.
These protesters ate standing up for the rights of the Chinese, Sudanese and Tibetans. Isn't assuming that only white people are capable of oppression somewhat racist?

This is just a guess, but I think that if the Bush administration decided to parade a symbol of their corrupt, murderous policies through the streets of San Fransisco, they'd be met with a protest 100 times more fierce than what we are seeing today.

They hide and obscure those policies, and we fight them where we are able.

10. I am in San Francisco... |
|
and over the past seven years I have gone to at least 7 major marches against Bush & Co. -- there were often tens of thousands of people who took to the streets. Just because you needed see it on your evening news doesn't mean it didn't happened.
