Bush: 140,000 Troops In Iraq Will Be Next President's Problem

AP Reports that Bush will speak this morning to sum up two days of hearings on Capitol Hill between Ambassador Crocker, General David Petraeus and members of the House and Senate.

The Washington Post points out that Bush will essentially be placing the fate of all 140,000 troops in Iraq into the hands of the next President.

The bottom line seems to be that after pulling out the extra forces Bush sent last year, the United States will keep about 140,000 troops in Iraq at least through the November presidential election. In the short term, the debate in Washington instead will focus more intently on trade-offs at home, including the strain on the armed forces and the Treasury.

2. What?! George W. Bush is walking away from a problem and
leaving a clusterfuck for someone else to clean up?

That's not like him...to do something like that.
