Bush speech today on cspan3
Edited on Thu Apr-10-08 09:32 AM by MiniMe
Pres. Bush delivers a speech on Iraq. His comments come after two days of Congres-
sional testimony by Gen. David Petraeus and Amb. Ryan Crocker on conditions in the country. Then, Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) & House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) respond to the President (12pm ET). edited to add: Bush speech at 11:30, Dem response at noon per cspan schedule.

Coverage starts at 11:30, I'm not sure if * speaks at 11:30 and Reid/Pelosi are on at noon or if * starts at noon.

Shall we take guesses on what he will say? Blah Blah Blah Surge is working. Blah Blah Blah must succeed in Iraq. Blah Blah General Petreaus Blah Blah. Blah Blah we will stay forever Blah Blah. Blah Blah Vote for McCain, he will continue my policies Blah Blah.

Did I leave anything out?

1. You covered it pretty well.
I might add "the Surge is necessary to protect The American People."

I've heard variations on that one a lot lately.

34. Jackie Speier, the new (D) Rep in California takes her seat on CSpan 1
Giving her first statement on taking over the seat left vacant by the death of Tom Lantos last February.. She says the people in HER district want to get out of Iraq NOW, not later. They want help on Main St. to take precedence over help for Wall St.. . and generally was MUCH more fun to watch than that lame duck limp dick on the other channel.
