Arlington Cemetery earlier today (pic)
I happen to be in DC and visited President Kennedy's grave, RFK's grave, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and generally paid my respects. The beauty of the cherry blossoms (currently blooming) against the acres and acres of stark white gravemarkers was heartbreaking.

2. It's beautiful.
It helps ME to see their tombstones in such a peaceful and beautiful place.

Let them rest from their labors, for their good deeds go with them.

3. Beautiful photo ...
... and you've really captured the essence of a wish we all share: that those those who knew the chaos of war now reside in a dream where peace is the only reality.

4. Washington is beautiful this time of the year.
My first visit to Arlington Cemetery was Memorial Day of 1963 when JFK was in the White House. At that time the biggest attractions were the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Custis-Lee mansion.
There are a lot more things to see at Arlington, you could spend the entire day there and not see them all. It is worth it to get off the beaten path and explore.

6. I use to jog in Arlington every day back during the days of Thug Nixon
when I was a lowly US Army draftee stationed at Ft Myer. The jackasses that were my age back then and working for Nixon are now running (or should I say RUINING) the country.
