Laura Bush: She, president moving back to Dallas

Dallas County may be turning Democratic, but it's about to gain two prominent Republican residents: The Bushes are moving back to town.

First lady Laura Bush was in Dallas on Thursday to introduce a national program designed to expose urban children to nature. Mrs. Bush and students from Williams Preparatory School shook a shrub and examined what fell from it. First lady Laura Bush confirmed Thursday that she and her husband will return to the area when they leave the White House in January.

"I guess I can announce it in front of the press," Mrs. Bush said at a National Park Foundation event at Williams Preparatory School in Dallas. "President Bush and I will be moving back to Dallas, which is where we lived" before Mr. Bush was elected governor in 1994, she said.

"After 14 years away, we're excited about having this chance to live here again," the first lady said.

9. No extradition
Good move for the Bushes. Not so good for Americans who want to see him answer for his war crimes.

22. That's why the CIA kidnaps people.
Bush thinks that's legal so he won't complain about it.......or waterboarding confessions out of him. I'll bet the CIA can make him confess to being the real master mind behind 9/11.

when water becomes more valuable than oil.

And, in the spirit of our rivalry, Dallas would be a much better place for him. Houston already has his daddy and Babs.

16. WTF?
They shook a shrub (yes samdogman I too thought that was amusing) and examined what fell out of it? How old were these kids? What were they looking for? What fell out of a shrub? :wtf: Sorry, I am not urban I have a farm and have never shaken a shrub to see what fell out of it before in my whole life.

There has to be a joke in here somewhere but I am too tired at the moment to find it.

33. But, but, but Joe and Jane Public will wonder where is he going to get any brush to cut?
And stumps to chainsaw? They won't understand - they thought he LOVED doing those things in his spare time?!

Will they have their "wtf" moment, and ever realize this was all just a show?! And now that he's done putting on the show, he's moving back to the city?

I really wonder considering there's still that hard core who persist in believing he'd be a great guy to sit around and have a beer with. This is gonna come as a big surprise to some of them.

38. But But he's a cowboy!!!!! See?????

The Ten Cowboy Commandments by Gene Autry

Commandment 1 ~ “He must not take unfair advantage of an enemy.”

Commandment 2 ~ “He must never go back on his word.”

Commandment 3 ~ “He must always tell the truth.”

Commandment 4 ~ “He must always be gentle with children, elderly people and animals.”

Commandment 5 ~ “He must not possess racially or religious intolerant ideas.”

Commandment 6 ~ “He must help people in distress.”

Commandment 7 ~ “He must be a good worker.”

Commandment 8 ~ “He must respect women, parents, and his nation’s laws.”

Commandment 9 ~ “He must neither drink nor smoke.”

Commandment 10 ~ “He must be a patriot.”

I’ve got Bush in flagrant violation of 10 out of 10 — Junior isn’t going to get into Cowboy Heaven that way. Besides, he’s afraid of horses.

I suspect Pickles will ask him to go down there if he's on a drinking binge to give her a break from his massive ego.
