Bush reports nearly a million bucks in income
He gets 400K from us.

He gets more than that from ......... ?

A 'trust'.

Some bullshit book The Lump In The Bed wrote with in concert with one of her two spawn.

This just seems like an awful lot of money for a president to make ...... and not nearly reflective of how much money he really made this year.

2. It's the Bush family trust
they all have an arrangement, but most of the fortune is in the trust... to protect it from taxes and snooping eyes

As to how much he makes as a Pres... I would give a rats ass if he wasn't making money from the war

3. And yet, he looks forward to "replenishing the ol' coffers"...
Bush in new book: 'I do a lot of crying in this job'

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/09/04/book-bush-does-a-lot-of-crying-in-this-job/'

Draper says President Bush also admits that he cries. “I've got God's shoulder to cry on. And I cry a lot. I do a lot of crying in this job. I'll bet I've shed more tears than you can count, as president," Bush told Draper.

After he leaves office, President Bush is quoted as telling Draper that he wants to build what he calls a "Fantastic Freedom Institute" in Dallas. He describes it as being a place where young leaders can come, write and lecture.

But first, Bush tells Draper, he wants to make some money to "replenish the ol' coffers,” noting he can make "ridiculous” money on the lecture circuit.

“I don't know what my dad gets. But it's more than 50, 75 thousand … Clinton's making a lot of money," the president is quoted as saying.

4. I think we should pay the prez $5 million a year. Maybe we'd attract some people
who're actually looking for a job instead of sleazes looking for glory or power. But that might not work either...
I'm pretty jaded with the whole process...(beyond cynical)
