4. We had better service under Ma Bell
The land phone companies are once again merging back to a few. What good was that breakup of the phone "monopoly" when it was working well? We had oversight and the did research. Now they are so poor they can't pay service people (from their merger debt and CEO compensation).

The judge who broke up Ma Bell retire in Switzerland? There must have been pay off. The judges today wouldn't think of keeping mergers from being monopolies. They get payoff no matter which way it goes.

When the courts are corrupted we are really in trouble.

5. As long as the corporate VP's and their Directors
make their numbers and get their bonuses, that's all that matters. They make up numbers as they go along that are as far from reality as possible. Then when they meet those alleged numbers everyone gets fat bonuses. I've seen AT&T make up irrelevant goals and numbers from the inside. Problem is, they're so eaten up with group-think and are so detached from reality they don't even understand how bogus their measures really are. The only reality based measures they have are regulatory commission numbers.
