My favorite Reagan quote
"A moment I've been dreading. George brought his n'er-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida; the one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I'll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they'll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work."

From the REAGAN DIARIES------entry dated May 17, 1986.

My favorite Reagan crap is his comment about the American dream being that plastic handle that fits around a soda can.

5. guess we should have known...
you know whoever wrote that paragraph had a modicum of intelligence, something I would never admit Reagan had. He was a Political Actor, just wind him up and he'll say whatever we want.

6. I was just getting ready to "run" with that,
but stopped to check it out. I discovered (independently of the others on this thread) that it was Snopes-fodder. RATS!
