How can any reasonable person view this as a "gaffe"?
I am very bitter about the corporate ownership of this country and the media. I am bitter about a presidency that has hijacked the truth, my civil rights, and taken this country into a never ending war. I am bitter that our nation is in financial ruins and that it will only get much, much worse before we even begin to see the light again.
If we can't be bitter about the state of our union, we deserve John McCain, the third term of the Bush presidency.

3. this every other week "faux outrage" about the truth is getting utterly ridiculous... |
|
time to pick our nominee. The long race has really revealed the soul of our candidates. I, personally, have seen the light.

4. this is nation wide. Why are we trying to pretend that all is well |
|
ask anyone and they will tell you that it is not and they are mad. My husband is a pharmacist and he sees daily people who do not have $4 for a prescription. It is bad, really, really bad right now. It is time for leadership and real change. We have been duped for years, and look how things have turned out...homes in foreclosure, loss of jobs, inflation to the highest, lack of healthcare, and the highest school drop out rates in history.
It's time for the truth to be told.

6. Bitter is an understatement. With many of the people I know. Before we can get over this. |
|
Some people are going to have to be given fair trails before being put to death. THEN we can start thinking about moving on and putting this behind us. But not until then. Yeah I think bitter is a huge understatement. I think Obama was trying to be conservative.

7. Bitter, to say the least! Frustrated, outraged... |
|
Just before Edwards dropped out I was explaining to a family member that one reason I supported Edwards (besides his policies) was that he conveyed not only a willingness to fight, but he seemed more than the other two frontrunners to be angry about the direction the country has taken and openly frustrated with the way our elected officials have let us down.
As time goes by, Obama has become sharper in his criticism. I don't know whether it is a strategy--to avoid having been dismissed as the "angry black man" or what, but there is a hell of a lot of bitterness out there.
