CHENEY: You Don't Have The Balls To Call Us Lying Sonuvabitches-So Get The Fuck Out Of The Way

this is a good time to remember what Kung Fu Monkey wrote after Bush pardoned Libby:

....................

They have found the "exploit" within the United States Government. As I watched Congressmen and Senators stumble and fumble and thrash, unable to bring to heel men and women who were plainly lying to them under oath, unable to eject from public office toadies of a boot-licking expertise unseen since Versailles, it struck me. The sheer, simple elegance of it. The "exploit".

The exploit is shame.

Our representatives — and to a great degree we as a culture — are completely buffaloed by shamelessness.
You reveal a man’s corrupt, or lying, or incompetent, and what does he do? He resigns. He attempts to escape attention, often to aid in his escape of legal pursuit. Public shame has up to now been the silver bullet of American political life. But people who are willing to just do the wrong thing and wait you out, to be publicly guilty … dammmnnnn.

We are faced with utterly shameless men. Cheney and the rest are looking our representatives right in the eye and saying “You don’t have the balls to take down a government. You don’t have the sheer testicular fortitude to call us lying sonuvabitches when we lie, to stop us from kicking the rule of law and the Constitution in the ass. You just don’t. What’s beyond that abyss — what that would do to our government and our identity as a nation — terrifies you too much. So get the fuck out of our way.”

2. I have to admit to a sort of grudging admiration for the dick
and your thread title really nails the reason why. He's the first politician to capitalize on the fragility of our institutions.

I'll bet in his private moments the asswipe shakes his head at how easy it really was to make 535 elected officials his bitches. And in the process he made bush his puppet and made daddy bush look like a sucker for putting him in charge of selecting a running mate for his idiot son.

9. I hate everything the bastard stands for
but I wish some of our Democratic leaders had the balls he has.

Or were sneaky enough to undermine him without him knowing it. I'd admire that too.

11. He's been able to do that because he serves big money.

Anyone who wasn't a lackey for Wall Street would've been crucified in a matter of months for doing what Cheney's done.

There's not real power in Cheney's position. He's a servant, and if he stopped serving, the establishment (from the media to Congress) would discover ways to deal with his lack of shame in no time.

14. Hitler had big balls too.

Maybe all the testosterone-filled men should find their own country so they can have fun setting up their own Lord of the Flies.

4. Bingo. They're sociopaths.
They don't give a flying fuck what anybody thinks (Cheney: "So?") and they're going to keep doing whatever the fuck they want until somebody stops them. I'm guessing that if McCain is seriously trailing in the polls, they'll "suspend" the '08 elections on some national security pretext.

12. One of our Reps DOES have that fortitude.
His name is Dennis Kucinich. Problem is, his colleagues are spineless, so he stands almost alone.
