Iran Top Threat To Iraq, U.S. Says |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 08:59 AM by spanone
it's no longer al qaeda - it's iran ~snip~ Last week's violence in Basra and Baghdad has convinced the Bush administration that actions by Iran, and not al-Qaeda, are the primary threat inside Iraq, and has sparked a broad reassessment of policy in the region, according to senior U.S. officials. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/11/AR2008041101606_pf.html

1. Does war with Iran help or harm McCain? |
|
And does a Republican White House want McCain to win?
Just another nefarious reason to start another war.

2. We need to be paying attention cause when bushco starts bombing Iran |
|
our world that we know will be turned upside down. It will be a flashback to early on world war 2. Americans will not be happy with what happens to us here once the bombing starts.

3. We all knew this was coming. They will |
|
get away with it. For 7 years they have gotten away with crap and they will continue. We may not have an election this year. Martial law will probably be the norm. I have tried to understand why impeachment is not on the table and the only reason that comes to mind is that the SCOTUS would see to it it didn't happen. Whereas if they are out of office maybe, just maybe, they could be tried as war criminals. But they may be with us forever.

they have been enemies since Iraq was created. There was animosity between Arabs and Persions before that.
They fought a damned war in the 80's that never was really ended; Iraq just quit fighting.
Iran was ALWAYS the threat, and we took out the strongman who held them together against it.
Now that we've fucked over the stalemate that existed between them, somewhat arbitrarily picked sides in their age-old battle and declared one of them our "ally" after clobbering them we have some compelling moral reason to clobber the other.
riiiiight....

8. You knew it, and I knew it, but Bush ... |

is just catching on. Now we have to bomb Iran to level the playing field. By the time Bush is done, the AQ will own the ME.
