without any compensation or accommodations whatsoever so the Olympic grounds and stadiums could be built.

That's a whole lot of homeless people.

I heard it on NPR this morning but couldn't find a link.

Why isn't the American press on this--too busy trying to turn two-week-old sentence fragments into scandals?

These people ought to be RELOCATED as well as compensated.

:grr:

Chinese diplomacy is just like their cuisine. Just as the cook can hide what goes into the hot-pot or wok from the diner, putting in cheaper cuts of meat and vegetables that are starting to spoil and cover it over with some sauce, the Chinese government is taking the same approach to the rest of the world. Nothing of interest happening in Tibet, never mind who lived here before the stadium was built -- never mind those cat pelts and the garbage outside the back door, doesn't that look nice plated up from the wok?

No wonder the melamine got into the dog food and the lead into the toys.

7. That's a very funny post title.
And a very sad reality.

One of my dear friend is and American who lived in Taiwan for 12 years. He studied acupuncture and Oriental Botanicals and became a big muck a muck commissioner creating regulations for those practices.

I probably wouldn't have a living child if it wasn't for the treatment he provided me.

He is one of the most talented diagnostician and practitioner I've ever encountered.

He retired, in part to the pesticides with which the Oriental botanicals are now riddled.

The other reason is that he said, "I don't want to be involved in a field that is over regulated."

I said, "but you created those regulations."

He said, "I know."

He's kind of eccentric. LOL
