Not one word from PBS re:torture memos or presidents admission. Contact them here: |

onlineda@newshour.org
I am astounded that not only did they fail to report that the those meetings took place and that actual techniques were formulated but that the president, by his own admission, new and authorized torture.
The self-censorship is stunning. Write to them and let them know what you think of their "reporting" on The News Hour, Washington Week, etc. I personally let them know that I am sending my dollars to LINK TV from here on out.

1. 99% of PBS is now National Propaganda Radio or fluff |
|
I turn it off half the time anymore, between the endless minutes they devote to mewling commentaries from people of whose opinion I couldn't care less about, "story corp," the cacaphonic "sound clips" and Terri Gross's relentlessly personal interviews - "how did you FEEL when you were surrounded hostile militia in war-torn Africa?" Blech. Their Baghdad reporter, reporting from Sadr City while rockets are falling on the "heavily fortified Green Zone," nonetheless must interject that "the Surge" is "of course, a success in many respects" (or similar phrasing).
I don't bother complaining, but damn if they'll get a $ of mine.

nbc nightly news last night not only didn't mention it, they did a story on the 'cheney sunglass reflection' ending on the note that while not many would want to go hunting with cheney, they all want to go fishing with him {speculating that it was a nude woman in his glasses}
