Human Waste Used On Poor Families Lawns
This is just disgusting and deserves more attention than it is getting. They are still experimenting on the poor.

BALTIMORE - Scientists using federal grants spread fertilizer made from human and industrial wastes on yards in poor, black neighborhoods to test whether it might protect children from lead poisoning in the soil. Families were assured the sludge was safe and were never told about any harmful ingredients.

1. I remember a similar experiment many years ago.
I don't remember about any heavy metal problems, although I know that is a legitimate concern.
What I do remember is that several plants came up from seeds that had passed through the human digestive system, through the sewage treatment plants, and were then placed in the treated sewage on peoples' lawns. They were mostly tomatoes and watermelons, but with a sampling of other varieties too.

2. the city of Milwaukee has been
selling Milorganite brand fertilizer for at least fifty years. It comes from the municipal sewage plant.

3. Many towns/cities sell this, less problem with "human waste" than industrial waste part
The "human waste" has been composted down to not harmful bits. I've been more concerned about the industrial waste part. It's not the composted shit that is the problem, but the stuff in the industrial waste.
