The Nation: Rahm Emmanuel blames the victim.

"Skin in the Game"
Christopher Hayes

Rahm Emmanuel on those lazy Iraqis:

"We've put about $45 billion into Iraq's reconstruction . . . and they have not spent their own resources...They have got to have some skin in the game."

In the wake of Petraeus hearing, I'm quickly despairing that the Democrats' newest line on Iraq is: blame the wogs. I mean, really.

2. "They have got to have some skin in the game...."
Now THAT has got to be the single most offensive, ignorant thing I've ever read anyone say about Iraq...

7. We went in there and blowed up a million or so of them
tore the shit out of their country and now we're pissed off that they won't spend their money to fix the mess we made.

And we wonder why the rest of the world thinks we're assholes.

8. Please don't equate Rahm Emmanuel with Democrats.
At least real Democrats.

Rahm is a tool of the highest order. Think of Ford from Tennessee, Lieberman of CT, and the like.

Emmanuel unfortunately has a powerful place in the Dem Leadership. He's a hawk, an elitist tool, and power mad.

Simply put, he's an embarrassment to Democrats everywhere.
