1. Didn't you know its supply and demand. One nit wit doesn't grasp
that our friends the Saudis only pay 19 cents a gallon, nit wit says thats because there is less demand because women are not allowed to drive. So I guess nit wits think women are the problem not oil people or market speculators.

2. Whose fault is that?
Well,
I suspect that if every other soccer mom in the United States weren't driving a 4 wheel drive all-terrain vehicle, gas prices would not be what they are. And for those of us who elected to drive a reasonable car, something that gets 28 mpg, these prices aren't really that painful. Gas should have been heavily taxed over that past decade, the proceeds invested in wind. If we were paying $2.50/ gal in 2004 because of tax, we'd be paying less than $3.50 today.

Millions of folks are locked into an SUV that gets 14mpg, and suddenly gas is $3.50/ gal. What to do now? Scrap your Suburban and get a Jetta?

3. Yeah, right. Think again!

My car gets 34 mpg city/37 hwy and I chose the car BECAUSE it gets good gas mileage. But when you're a low-income family like we are then hell yeah we feel it when our gas price more than doubles over the course of a couple years! You think that those of us with reasonable cars aren't feeling the pain at the gas pumps?

High gas prices hurt lots of us, whether we have a car with good gas mileage or not!

8. I think when you get below 30, fuel milage actually decreases for just keeping the
engine and accessories running starts to consume more energy than the forward motion.

7. Michigan seems to be catching up to California
I'm surprised it's that high in Michigan. I drove around in Southern California this morning and I saw prices for unleaded regular at around $3.65, only 9 cents higher than Michigan, apparently.

9. I saw that today and freaked out!
I've got three trips to Kalamazoo this week, too. Ugh. That's six gallons right there.

It's not just the taxes here, our prices are always high. Something about being far from refineries, but other states as far away as we are have similar taxes and lower prices. Remember when Granholm went after gougers and caught several? It's too much to ask for that again, I guess.

10. I paid $3.75 yesterday.
Hate paying for gas now? Wait until McCain bombs Iran! We'll see gas prices at $14, $15, $20!
