Holy Moley - Belzer breaking all the AAR rules |
|
Is it me or does it seem like AAR wouldn't have gotten Belzer if they knoew what he was oging to do? He's not performing as a gatekeeper!
It seems like he's talking about things none of the other hosts would ever touch. He's talking conspiracy, he's naming names. He's doing all the stuff the AAR hosts always avoid.
Why is he not afraid of whatever it is all the other hosts were afraid of?

1. Sam Seder has been saying he doesn't think AAR should have suspended Randi. |

I'm guessing that's at least part of the reason why Richard Belzer got the slot.
One thing we do NOT need is a liberal version of Art Bell. That would just make us look stoopid.
I'll have to download Belzer's show and check it out later.

YOu have helped confirmed my impression.
Yeah, those regulars never talk about anything to "controversial".
I think it because he is already secure because he is a star, and is only taking advantage of the temporary opportunity to get on and say what he thinks.
He was mentioning MK Ultra Assassinations in the 60 Smedley Butler
He was holding NOTHING back. This is the AAR that was being gatekept all this time. And the callers all get it too.
How refreshing. Belzer talking real issues while Lionel still self amazed with his hand farts.

but I can't listen to him regularly, it is too upsetting. Not at him, but with him. I can't ingest that emotional energy late in the evening, it gives me anxiety.
