2. Well, it's always hard for me to get happy about waste.

Wasted effort, resources, labor, time. Just an incredible waste. Even Las Vegas proper is not all that desirable a place to live, but the wastelands an hour outside of town? Gimme a break. That place looks post-apocalyptic.
